Philip Ashberry & Sons - Teapot (4) - Silverplated - Victorian Teapot on Stand

An elegant late Victorian silver-plated tea service by Philip Ashberry & Sons of Sheffield, circa 1890. The matching set comprises a teapot with stand, milk jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, each decorated with finely engraved floral garlands, foliage and vacant cartouches. The exterior remains beautifully presented with an attractive period patina, while the interiors require cleaning and show age-related tarnishing and wear, as clearly illustrated in the photographs. A highly decorative and increasingly difficult-to-find complete antique Sheffield tea service. Measurements listed are that of the teapot on stand.
