Special vintage pyramid lamp by Hustadt Leuchten, manufactured in Germany and dating from around the 1970s.
A striking design composed of several square, white-finished metal plates arranged in a stepped fashion above one another. The progressively smaller elements together form the characteristic pyramid shape.
The light source is located centrally in the lamp. Through the open spaces between the different levels, the light is distributed in a special way, creating a atmospheric, layered indirect light effect when switched on. The mirrored light source at the top reinforces the geometric character of the design.
A beautiful example of West German lighting design from the 1970s, with clear influences from Space Age and Modernist design. Impressive both off and when lit.
