Corkscrew (2) - Steel, Wood, Bone - 2 old corkscrews

Two German open-frame corkscrews with ball bearings, based on the design G. Usbeck registered in 1909 and later manufactured under the name Monopol.

The ball bearing is located in the spherical housing beneath the handle. This allows the central shaft to rotate smoothly even while pulling the cork.

Both corkscrews have a chrome-plated metal frame, a full spiral and a white protective ring made of India rubber or plastic, which rests directly on the bottle neck.

One specimen has a smooth wooden handle; the other a handsome handle made of deer antler. Probably manufactured in Germany around 1950–1960.

Both are in good used condition, with normal signs of aging and use. See the photos for an accurate impression of the design and condition.
