Large sculpture of Saint Joseph with a blooming lily spray, symbol of purity. The finely worked face, the hairstyle and the deep folds give the figure a refined modeling. The execution aligns with the religious biscuit porcelain sculptures of the French manufactory Letu & Mauger.
Total height 52 cm; white biscuit porcelain on a separately richly adorned pedestal, in good overall condition with light signs of age and small, unobtrusive damages to the right hand and the underside of the lily spray; the underside of the sculpture is not visible due to the fixed pedestal, making any factory mark unable to be checked.
