Voodoo cults are still alive and active today. They have succeeded in incorporating symbols from other cultures into their rituals and their cults. This is one of the strengths of Voodoo: to evolve, to adapt, and to draw inspiration to better satisfy the gods and spirits.

It is an atypical and powerful fetish. It is a representation of Christ on the cross, taken up and incorporated into West African Voodoo. It is finely carved, the face is beautiful and expressive. There is an emotion that radiates from this work; it seems animated. On its chest are fixed knives, a Shango iron, a thorn, and a magical charge. The whole piece has a beautiful patina.

It is an ancient and authentic Voodoo fetish. Circa 1960.
