Beautiful Mambila sculpture from Cameroon. The style is mastered, the volumes are well crafted. The body is compact and stocky. The face is expressive and sensitive. It looks at us with a frank smile, its tongue protruding. The gaze is bright. Its presence is peaceful and powerful. The face bears traces of white pigment. The wood is damaged in places; insects attacked it, they have not been around for a long time and the wood is solid. See photos. Sold as is. A beautiful piece for an old, authentic collection.
