Decorative wooden ornament from a church, dating to the late 19th / early 20th century. Shape entirely chased with a “frattino” technique, bearing the Latin inscription “Confessiones” painted in gold by brush, a clear indication toward the rooms used for confessions in the church or convent. Authentic patina of age, with overall dimensions of 12 x 81 x 2 cm.
