The brand built only 176 cars, of which today only about 15 examples are known. What makes this one even more special is that it has been registered with Dutch license plates since 1965. The first name transfer took place in 1954. The chassis number is 852004 and the original registration document from 1965 is still present.\n\nThe car was delivered at the time to Baron "Willem Hendrik Taets van Amerongen van Renswoude", a very prominent figure who held positions such as Mayor of Oudenrijn and Driebergen-Rijsenburg. He also owned the well-known Castle Renswoude. Up to 2010 the car was in the family's possession for no fewer than 55 years!\n\nThe brand produced cars only from 1950 to 1952 with the aim of bringing an affordable sports car to the masses to the market. Many parts came from other car brands, such as DKW and Volkswagen. Under the skin it is essentially a French car; because the chassis, the engine and the gearbox are from Panhard & Levassor. The name Dyna also refers to a model from Panhard.\n\nThe bodywork was manufactured by the German coachbuilder 'Baur'. Although the example we offer has been in the Netherlands for a long time, it is relatively little known. The car undoubtedly attracts a lot of attention and few people know the car. It has been restored in the past, so it is in a beautiful condition. Thus the car is a unique possession and a valuable addition to any collection. A rare opportunity to acquire a nicely executed example. This greatly increases the chances of participation in the legendary Mille Miglia rally!\n\nEXTERIOR\n\nThe color combination is very beautiful: light blue metallic paint with a red interior and a beige top. This allows the aerodynamic curves and smooth fenders to come into their own. The glass and lighting are in excellent condition. The rubbers have been renewed. The chrome trim is in good condition with a light patina.\n\nThe steel wheels are painted in the body color and finished with chrome decorative wheel covers. In the past the car was restored, painting the finish anew. Visually there are some signs of use. The luxurious beige soft top is double-walled and recently renewed, leaving it in pristine condition.\n\nINTERIOR\n\nThe interior is characterized by delightful simplicity: there are only a few beautifully executed gauges and controls. The odometer shows only 79,749 km. Thanks to the rear seat, a total of 4 people can be accommodated. By opening the gorgeous soft top one can enjoy the sun.\n\nThe luggage compartment is very well maintained and fitted with new red upholstery. The spare wheel and original tools are also located here. The dashboard is painted in the body color and contrasts nicely with the red leather upholstery. A beautiful and unique combination of French flair and German reliability.\n\nTECHNICAL\n\nThe front-mounted aluminium air-cooled 4-stroke 2-cylinder boxer engine has 850 cc and 42 hp. This engine gives driving the car a playful feel. Despite the small engine, the light weight and front-wheel drive provide great agility and grip. In the past year the car has been technically serviced and made road-ready.\nAmong other things the shifting mechanism and cover have been revised, engine rubbers have been replaced and the carburation has been adjusted. The engine bay and the underside of the car are in very good, rust-free condition. See also our extensive photo report. It is evident that the car has been driven little since the restoration. The car runs, shifts and brakes well.\n\nGENERAL\n\nThe German brand Veritas built a small number of sports cars from 1947 to 1950 based on BMW. Due to financial and supply problems, the brand changed course in 1950 with the aim of producing a small, inexpensive sportscar for the masses. This led to a coupe and a cabriolet model in collaboration with the French Panhard & Levassor, which supplied the chassis, gearbox and engine. The self-supporting steel body was built in Stuttgart by Baur.\n\nThe rear fenders, instruments and steering wheel came from the DKW F89, and the door handles and headlights from Volkswagen. All in all, a remarkable combination of French engineering with German design. The press at the time described the car as 'a piece of craftsmanship', but the price of the car (over 7,500 German Marks) was too high compared to the competing models from Volkswagen and DKW. As early as 1952 the brand went bankrupt, but most cars were delivered to the first customer later. Of the 176 built, today only about 15 are known, of which reportedly 6 are drivable.
