Roy Stuart - Roy Stuart Volume V + DVD - 2008

In his book, Stuart explores a field closer to cinema. The photographs aim to 'tell' short stories, akin to short films, and the models become actors: their movements are captured in snapshots that lie halfway between portrait and narration. The photographer seeks to render the sexual act more explicit, while preserving a certain aura of mystery in the erotic images. The book is accompanied by a DVD that collects several scenes from which the photographs are derived, including excerpts from the DVD series 'Glimpse' and Stuart's film 'The Lost Door'.
