Leitz Ernst Wetzlar Bellows II (16556) in nearly new cosmetic condition and tested working, dating from 1960–1970, with the sought after red badge compatible with Visoflex II and Visoflex III, including adapters 16558, 16590 and 16596G.
Description from the seller
Leitz Ernst Wetzlar – Bellows II (Balgengerät 16556) – Sought-after 'Red Badge' version for Visoflex II & III – With 16558 adapter & accessories
Offered is a beautifully and exceptionally solidly built Leitz Leica Bellows II. Note: This is the later and highly sought-after "Red Badge" version. The red Leitz logo on this exemplar is not only an aesthetic feature, but indicates the factory modification by Leitz in which the rear has been altered. Whereas early variants only fit the Visoflex II, this coveted version with the red logo is fully compatible with both the Visoflex II and the larger Visoflex III. This makes the unit highly functional and loved by both collectors and active macro photographers.
The unit is finished in the classic gray crinkle finish (hammer-tone). Thanks to the extremely precise rack-and-pinion adjustment, the distance can be set with millimeter precision.
Included in this lot:
Leitz Bellows II (16556) with the sought-after factory-original red badge (suitable for Visoflex II & III).
Leitz 16558 adapter ring (for direct mounting of, among others, the 65mm Elmar and 90mm Elmarit lens heads).
Leitz 16590 (UOOYW) adapter ring (for lenses/heads with Leica M39 screw thread).
Leitz 16596G (UOOND) adapter ring (for Leica M-bayonet lenses).
Condition of the item:
Cosmetic: In very nice vintage condition with minimal signs of use. The lacquer is still beautifully even.
Mechanical: The adjustment knob rotates smoothly and the fine mechanical adjustment works perfectly.
Bellows: The flexible leather bellows are supple and fully light-tight (no holes or tears).
