AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant shaker and ice bucket designed by the Italian cabinetmaker, interior designer and designer Aldo Tura (1909-1963).
The shaker is constructed of wood and clad with parchment (goatskin) and copper parts.
The wine cooler is made of identical material, and adorned with gold-coloured grape clusters on both sides.
Aldo Tura was an experimental furniture designer and has been crafting tables, cabinets and lamps by hand since the 1930s. In 1939 he founded his own workshop in Lombardy, near Milan.
The limited edition of Tura's works is of high craftsmanship; some pieces existed only as prototypes. In his designs he used a wide range of unusual materials, such as eggshells, parchment, goatskin and wood veneer.
Both are unmarked, but in the catalog of auction house Quittenbaum, at the design auction of June 28, 2011, lot 312, an identical wine cooler was sold that still bore an original sticker. This indicates that this one is also by Aldo Tura.
Also included as part of the aforementioned lot is a shaker pictured that is almost identical to the shaker of this lot (see the last 2 photos).

Shaker dimensions: height 24 cm
Wine cooler dimensions: height 20 cm, length 39.5 cm and width 15.5 cm
Condition: in a lovely vintage condition.

N.B. the 2 wine bottles and 1 bunch of grapes are for decoration and are not part of this lot.
Please study the photo carefully, as they are always part of the description.
