Philips Sagitta 12RB462 – elegant transistor table radio from the 1960s

For sale is a beautifully preserved Philips Sagitta 12RB462 from the years 1966/1967. The radio is visually and technically in exceptionally good condition.

Especially nice are the dark wooden case, presumably teak, as well as the distinctive metal decorative trim and the slightly asymmetric design of the front. The radio thus has a very characteristic and stylish 1960s look and is suitable for collectors as well as excellent as a decorative vintage object.

Function

The radio has been tested. On FM/UKW several stations could be received clearly. The other reception ranges – longwave, mediumwave and shortwave – were not tested for reception, as these broadcasting ranges in Germany today are largely not used regularly.

Technically, it is a fully transistorized device with 11 transistors, 6 diodes and a selenium rectifier. The model features the reception ranges LW, MW, KW and UKW as well as an integrated antenna and six pushbuttons.
