Art Deco Belgian desk lamp, Model 52, dating to c. 1930–1940, with a metal body and Bakelite shade, a stepped Bauhaus design, dimensions 52 cm high, 24 cm wide, 32 cm deep, in working order despite fair condition with possible missing small parts.

An Art Deco desk lamp, Erpe, Model 52, cast-iron base and bakelite shade.
Made in Belgium.
This lamp is also commonly known as a notary's lamp or a banker’s lamp. This iconic industrial Bauhaus- and Art Deco-design was produced by the Belgian company Etablissements Ritzen & Penners (Erpé) from Brussels. The shade is adjustable to direct the light.
On the stepped base sits the distinctive white push-button switch.
Everything is in its original condition and is fully functional. The shade could be painted or left in its original patina. The choice is up to the buyer. The wiring and the switch have been professionally renewed to ensure safety.
