Elegant pair of French guéridons with a tripartite wood structure, carved, painted in ivory tones and enriched with gilded accents. The curved legs feature acanthus leaf ornaments and rococo scrolls, connected by arched crossbars with a central rosette finial and a pinnacle.
The circular waists are decorated with shells, vegetal motifs and gilded mouldings. Each table has a circular top in strongly veined pink marble, possibly Rouge de Maine or a similar variety. A highly decorative ensemble, suitable as auxiliary tables, stands for sculptures, vases or lighting elements.
Condition: Condition commensurate with age and use. The marble tops show old cracks, they have been glued and consolidated, with visible seams.
