Elegant French jewelry box from the Napoleon III period, with a gilded bronze and brass frame, filled with thick bevelled glass panels that are slightly greenish.

It presents a square shape with rounded corners, a hinged lid with a front clasp, and four ornamented feet. The metal mountings are enriched with rosettes, palmettes, vegetal motifs and delicate serrated borders, showing particularly careful workmanship.

The interior retains the original crimson-red velvet cushion, finished with golden metal passementerie. The transparency of the panels allows viewing the jewelry or objects stored inside, a characteristic of luxurious French vitrine boxes produced during the second half of the 19th century.

Condition: Good overall condition, considering its age.
