Description from the seller
This uranium glass or vaseline glass liqueur service consists of a decanter with stopper, five matching small stemmed glasses, and a circular presentation tray. This Art Deco period set or from the early twentieth century is characterized by its typical translucent yellow-green hue, which reacts spectacularly under ultraviolet light by revealing an intense green fluorescence. The pieces feature a rich molded relief decoration composed of plant scrolls, foliage, and stylized grape clusters. The decanter features a total height of 22 cm with its stopper for a diameter of 8 cm. Each stemmed glass features a height of 8 cm for a rim diameter of 35 mm. The presentation tray features a height of 25 mm for a diameter of 21 cm. The total weight of this seven-piece lot is 1150 g, with the tray alone weighing 700 g. This vintage glassware bears no manufacturer mark or visible signature. The general condition of preservation is good, as the structure shows no major cracks. A few original manufacturing flaws are noted with the presence of small air bubbles within the glass mass as well as a poorly blown decanter base that causes a slight stability defect. One also notes a very small chip located on the inner section of the stopper, on the part that goes into the neck of the bottle, which remains completely invisible when the set is displayed.
