Ship's clock - Bronze - 1960-1970

Interesting mechanical nautical desk clock or bulkhead clock, made of brass and conceived following the traditional aesthetics of navigation instruments and naval horology from the mid-20th century.

It features a solid circular brass case with sober, functional lines, front protected by glass and a white dial with excellent legibility. The dial features black Roman numerals, an outer minute track, and elegant dark hands, also retaining the regulator of movement marked +/− at the top.

The clock has a manual winding mechanical movement, with two winding apertures visible on the dial, and it retains its original winding key, a detail especially appealing for keeping the piece complete.

The case shows the characteristic side openings and fixing elements typical of this type of naval-inspired watchmaking. The brass retains a warm, attractive glow, showing small marks, scuffs, and patina consistent with its age and use. The dial also shows some signs of the passage of time, clearly visible in the photographs, which do not detract from the overall character.

In terms of construction, design and features, it can be prudently placed in the mid-20th century, roughly between the 1950s and 1970s. As there is no maker’s signature visible on the exterior, it is presented without attribution to a specific manufacturer.

A piece with a distinctly maritime character, especially decorative for a collection of nautical instruments and vintage horology, or for interiors with naval, classic, or Mid-Century inspiration.
