Wharfedale 505.2 high-quality 2-way monitor speakers in black ash finish (set of 2), technically in 100% working order and optically with clear cosmetic signs of use consistent with age. Look closely at the photos for an honest view of the cabinets and the front grilles.
The 505.2 hails from the famous British 'Fifty Series' by Wharfedale and is regarded by enthusiasts as one of the most musical and balanced compact monitors from that period. The speaker is known for its audiophile internal construction: an ultralight aluminum dome tweeter for a silky, colorless high end and a rigid polypropylene cone woofer with cast chassis and rubber surround for tight, controlled bass response.
The cabinets feature Wharfedale's thoughtful sandwich construction with internal stiffeners, which minimizes cabinet resonances. At the rear there is a double binding terminal for optional bi-wiring or bi-amping, allowing you to get the most out of the amplifier and speakers.
