Description from the seller
A large and impressive Chinese porcelain 'Yenyen' (phoenix-tail) vase, standing at 46 cm tall. Fully hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue and underglaze copper-red. The vase features a continuous scene of a long-tailed pheasant/paradise bird perched among detailed bamboo trees, blossoming peonies,
The neck and body are decorated using a highly difficult firing technique, visible through the natural greenish-grey oxidation (peach-bloom effect) on the copper-red flower buds, proving its manual artistry.
The base features an underglaze blue apocryphal six-character Kangxi reign mark (大清康熙年製) within a double ring, made in the late 20th century as a high-quality tribute to the classical Kangxi period imperial style.
Excellent structural and cosmetic condition with no chips, hair lines, or repairs.
A magnificent decorative statement piece for Asian art collectors.
