The coin of the type "Morgan Dollar" was minted at the Philadelphia Mint. On the obverse it shows the bust of the personification of Liberty, designed by George T. Morgan. On the reverse is the eagle armed with a laurel branch and a sheaf of arrows. It is one of the most emblematic coins of 19th-century United States numismatics.
