A 5 Lati silver coin, considered one of the most emblematic issues of the Republic of Latvia during the interwar period.

The obverse features the famous allegorical female portrait popularly known as “Milda,” the symbol of the Latvian nation, shown in right-profile with a gathered braid and a traditional headdress decorated with stars, in a design of great elegance and artistic refinement.

The reverse bears Latvia's national coat of arms held by a lion and a griffin, crowned by three stars representing the country's historical regions, together with the denomination 5 Lati and the issue date.

The piece retains full, well-defined relief with abundant original luster visible beneath a soft silvery patina. The fields show light mint contact marks typical of a non-circulated preservation, in line with the MS62 grade, maintaining an excellent visual presence.

This piece is one of the great icons of Baltic numismatics and represents an important testament to Latvian independence prior to World War II.
