BULGARIA. 50 Leva. 1940. Boris III (1918-1943)

- Inscriptions: Obverse: БОРИСЪ III ЦАРЬ НА БЪЛГАРИТЕ, king’s bust to the left, engraver A. BERAN’s signature on the neck. Reverse: 50 ЛЕВА · 1940, surrounded by a crown of ears of wheat, oak leaves and roses joined by a lower bow.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
50 Leva coin with a mature portrait of King Boris III facing left, in a realistic and sober style, with good facial modeling and finely rendered hair. The reverse features a balanced and detailed botanical composition, combining ears of wheat, oak leaves and roses, symbols of prosperity and strength, with the value and date clearly centered. The specimen shows well-preserved reliefs, mostly clean fields with minor contact marks typical of the grade, and a clear, uniform silver patina that enhances the overall appeal, providing an attractive and solid in-hand presence.
