Silver commemorative coin issued to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Wilhelm II's reign. The obverse portrait is especially detailed, showing the emperor with a solemn bearing and realistic treatment of the hair, mustache and uniform, reinforced by the laurel lower wreath. The reverse features the German Imperial Eagle in a powerful and balanced composition, with fine work in the plumage and a very well defined central shield. The specimen shows an attractive silvery tone with a soft, homogeneous patina, preserving excellent relief and a very solid visual presence, representative of the great commemorative issues of the German Empire on the eve of World War I.
