- Inscriptions: Obverse: OTTO KOENIG VON BAYERN with bust left. Reverse: DEUTSCHES REICH · 1913 · DREI MARK with crowned German imperial eagle.
- Grade: AU58 (NGC).
3 Mark silver coin of the Kingdom of Bavaria, minted at the Munich mint, with a left-facing portrait of King Otto I, sober and realistic in style, characteristic of early 20th-century German numismatics. The bust modeling presents soft features and balanced proportions, with minimal wear visible. The reverse shows the crowned German imperial eagle with central shield, of strong heraldic presence and good detail in the plumage and ornaments. The piece retains well-defined reliefs, relatively clean fields, and an attractive original lustre muted by a light gray-silver patina, with small surface marks in keeping with its grade, offering a solid and homogeneous appearance.
