Silver commemorative coin of 200 Korún minted by the Slovak Republic in 1994 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Allied landing in Normandy (D-Day). The obverse features a modern geometric design with the Slovak national shield at the center, surrounded by the state motto and the face value. The inscription “MOR HO!” refers to the famous Slovak patriotic poem by Samo Chalupka, used here as a symbolic element of courage and resilience. The reverse shows the emblem of an Allied military unit under the inscription “D-DAY”, accompanied by the historic date 6.6.1944 and maritime motifs that evoke the amphibious operation. The set exhibits a contemporary style of clean lines and contrasted surfaces. The MS67 grade certified by PCGS indicates a virtually perfect specimen, with intense original luster, highly reflective fields, sharp reliefs, and the absence of significant visible marks, placing it among the best-preserved examples of this commemorative issue.
