Proof half crown silver coin minted during the last year of George V's reign. The obverse features the bare portrait of the monarch facing left, by Edgar Bertram Mackennal, rendered in a realistic and sober style characteristic of early 20th-century British coinage. The reverse shows the crowned Royal Shield with the heraldic emblems of England, Scotland and Ireland, flanked by crowns and accompanied by the denomination HALF CROWN, in a balanced composition rich in symbolism. The specimen retains an attractive original luster with smooth silvery toning and slight golden hues, showing sharp relief and well-preserved fields. Small surface marks and minor contact marks typical of a coin certified MS63 are visible, without significantly affecting its visual appeal. This issue belongs to the last full year of minting for George V before the 1936 succession crisis, which gives it additional historical interest within modern British numismatics.
