Three gold nuggets from the Guelb Ndour Tiris Zemmour region in Mauritania, weighing 1.302 g.
Description from the seller
Discovery Zone
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
These nuggets come from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area called Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country was previously reserved for a large industrial company.
But since 2016 individual prospecting has been allowed using metal detectors.
I offer them as I discovered them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold from this region is quite pure; in general its purity is around 950 to 980 per thousand, which corresponds to about 22.80 to 23.50 carats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, the nuggets are rather rare because almost all the gold is melted into ingots that are then sent to Dubai.
All photos were taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as sincerely and accurately as possible, using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones.
The nuggets you will receive are, of course, those shown in the photos.
I offer fast, secure, and discreet shipping in a rigid C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) by French La Poste registered mail."} }# end of json
