Wade Pottery table lamp from England in burgundy red glazed ceramic with gilt detailing, iridescent lustre, brass holder, and a single 20 cm high light fitting, dating to the 1920s–1930s with Wade England provenance and a good vintage condition.
Description from the seller
A charming vintage Wade Pottery table lamp from England, featuring a beautifully glazed ceramic body in rich red/burgundy tones with an attractive iridescent lustre effect and hand-applied gilt detailing.
The lamp has an elegant, slightly faceted decorative form, with raised shoulders and gilded borders. The lustre glaze produces changing shades of red, purple, blue and gold depending on the light, giving the piece a particularly distinctive appearance.
The ceramic base is clearly marked “Wade – England” underneath.
The lamp is fitted with a traditional brass-coloured metal lamp holder and retains its vintage electrical fittings and switch. It is presented with a cream fabric tapered lampshade.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall, with some age-related wear to the gilding and surface consistent with its age. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
