Description from the seller

Leica M3 SS (Safari edition style finish)
Serial number: 1008752 (M3 models with a serial number in the million-range represent the pinnacle of manufacturing quality.)
This aesthetic restoration was carried out by a professional lacquer specialist. The process involved meticulous stripping of the original chrome on each component, followed by the application of several coats of paint (paying homage to the limited Safari edition). The finish consists of a high-end baked enamel coating, applied in four thin coats to ensure exceptional durability as well as increased resistance to chipping and delamination.
This meticulous artisanal procedure guarantees great longevity while preventing oxidation and deterioration of the paint. The shiny Leica-style lacquer finish is renowned for its complexity and the requirements it imposes; it gives the camera a unique and striking aesthetic. With prolonged use, the case will gradually develop a “brassing” effect (exposure of the underlying metal), creating a rich and beautiful patina that embodies the classic charm of a Leica that has lived.
The camera is in excellent condition and fully functional, with an impeccable finish. All components have been tested; the body is very good and the shutter speeds are accurate. The rangefinder operates correctly and the shutter curtains are perfectly flat and in excellent condition. The viewfinder has undergone professional servicing: it is bright and sharp, enabling quick and precise focusing thanks to the yellow rangefinder patch.

Note: all functions will undergo rigorous testing before shipment, and a detailed report on the state of the appareil will be prepared.
