Lot description: Manufacturer: Erpé (Établissements Ritzen & Penners, Brussels, Belgium).
A classic, highly sought-after brand in European interwar industrial lighting.
Period/Style: Circa 1930-1940. Strong Art Deco influence and Functionalism / Bauhaus. Materials: Robust rectangular base in cast iron with geometric reliefs and classical ornamentation. Tilt-top rectangular shade of enamelled metal (emerald green exterior and reflective white interior).
Dimensions: Height 43 cm. Base length 20 cm. Socket: Original E27 socket made of period thermosetting bakelite. It is structurally sound, clean inside, with no play, fully suitable for modern low-consumption LED bulbs.
Condition: Very good vintage condition.
Shows a very attractive natural patina on the metal parts and a very slight, imperceptible superficial scratch on the enamel of the upper part of the shade, purely aesthetic and due to its age (see the LAST photographed details). No dents or cracks.
Electrical system: Fully restored and updated. Old wiring has been completely replaced to ensure maximum electrical safety under current standards. Equipped with a built-in cream-colored hand switch. Ready to connect and use.
