Lovely Oval Vintage Jardinière in Copper, Brass and Ceramic
It is in very good structural condition and with a fantastic patina from having been outdoors, exposed to the elements for years and years.
Decorative oval-shaped planter/jardinière in molded copper, with visible rivets and a polished finish. It sits on four raised brass feet in a foliate/lion-paw style. It features two elegant side handles in gilded metal with tubular porcelain grips glazed blue and white, displaying classic floral motifs in the traditional Delft style. Interior with natural patina resulting from use and age.
The method of fixing the supports and the porcelain pattern point to production in the mid-20th century, within the Colonial Revival style or European rustic chic.
Good overall condition. It shows decorative patina and normal signs of oxidation or light wear on the interior and base, typical of this type of antique utilitarian metal. No cracks or visible flaws in the porcelain.
