Stilux Milano Razzo Space Age lamp, vintage 1960s–1970s, orange metal with a glossy glass diffuser and stainless steel base, 47 cm high, 23 cm wide, 23 cm deep, weight 4.2 kg, in good used condition and fully functional.
Description from the seller
STILUX MILANO. 1960/1970.
Very heavy.
Rare lamp with exceptional design, this is a model "RAZZO", an authentic icon of Space Age style produced by Stilux Milano.
The peculiarity of this series lies in its aerodynamic silhouette; the bulb-shaped form beneath the head diffuses light in a radiant way, emphasizing the lateral ridges.
Structural elements and finishes confirm the piece's integrity.
Gloss enameled glass diffuser.
Stainless steel base.
The lamp is in excellent condition, a fundamental detail for collectible items of this manufacture.
About the 60s/70s.
Height 47 cm.
Width 23 cm.
Weight 4.2 kg.
Perfectly functional.
The Italian brand Stilux Milano represents one of the most sought-after signatures of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 1970s, famous for interpreting Space Age aesthetics by combining innovative plastic materials with high Milanese metallurgical craftsmanship. Lighting pieces from this era are characterized by spherical shapes, aerodynamic "spacecraft" profiles, and bold color combinations.
Bought for €1500.00 at a flea market in northern Italy.
It has certainly been restored recently but retains signs of age and small contact marks; I can note that the cable and switch have been replaced.
It comes with a very particular lamp bulb and difficult to source, and I believe for this reason it has been internally modified to allow use of E27 bulbs of any generation, including modern bulbs.
Shipping insured and not combinable with other lots.
