A lot of 19 stereoscopic glass photographs, 6 × 13 cm, from France, preserved in an original Gaumont binder, depicting historic sites in Bourgogne and Ain from 1921 to 1927.

Lot of 19 stereoscopic photographs on glass 6 × 13 cm – Tournus, Beaune, Pérouges, Château de Berzé – Gaumont filing cabinet
Set of 19 old stereoscopic photographs on glass in 6 × 13 cm format, kept with their Gaumont-era filing cabinet.
This series documents several remarkable sites in Burgundy and Ain, mainly Tournus, Beaune and Pérouges, with also a view of the Château de Berzé on the road from Cluny to Mâcon.
The plates are largely captioned and dated by hand. They constitute a fine documentary collection focused on religious architecture, ancient monuments, medieval streets and French urban landscapes from the 1920s.
