Tin-glazed earthenware tile with a blue cobalt underglaze on a milky white tin glaze. The central composition depicts a hunting dog (braque or hound) in profile to the left, standing on a hatched terrace framed by stylized railings, all within a medallion edged by a double border.
The four corners feature the classic motif known as “eggheads” or “earrings” (ossekop / œil de bœuf), typical of Dutch production in the second half of the 17th century and the early 18th century.
