A Roman Imperial bronze signet ring featuring a substantial hoop that broadens toward a flat oval bezel, engraved in intaglio with a stylised plant shape. Floral motifs were frequently used on Roman personal seals and jewellery, carrying decorative, symbolic or protective associations.
