Elegant Column with Cylindrical Marble Shaft – Second Half of the 20th Century
Splendid decorative column made entirely of marble, characterized by an extraordinary palette of natural colors ranging from translucent jade green to cream, with intense amber, rust and brown-gold veining.
The structure consists of three distinct elements that fit together perfectly:
Base: square plinth base with a classical circular molding (torus).
Shaft: monolithic cylindrical shaft, highlighting the natural stratification of the stone.
Capitello: square slab-capital with a molded profile.
Technical Details
Material: Veined marble
Era: Second half of the 20th century (ca. 1970–1980).
Origin: Italy (handcrafted).
Condition: Very good. The column presents natural stone characteristics (micro-cracks and passing veins) that attest to its authenticity. Small signs of time and negligible chipping at the base and on the edge of the capital are noted, consistent with age and material (see detailed photographic gallery).
