A striking Art Deco centrepiece by Boch Frères La Louvière, created during the celebrated Art Deco period and attributed to the design of Raymond Chevalier. Its sculptural circular form, pronounced concentric rings and bold gilded handles give the piece a distinctly architectural character, perfectly reflecting the geometric language of the period.

The dish is finished in a particularly attractive soft pink glaze, one of the distinctive colours associated with Boch Frères ceramics of this era. At the centre, a finely detailed black floral decoration creates an elegant contrast with the delicate pink ground, while thin dark and gilded lines provide a refined graphic frame. The two substantial handles are richly gilded, their rhythmic relief adding both visual interest and a luxurious finishing touch.

With a bowl diameter of approximately 27 cm and an impressive overall width of approximately 32 cm from handle to handle, the piece has a strong decorative presence. Originally intended as a serving or fruit dish and table centrepiece, it can equally be displayed today as a purely decorative object.

The condition is very good for its age. Remarkably, the gilding remains exceptionally well preserved with only minimal signs of wear. Minor traces of age and small manufacturing irregularities may be present, entirely consistent with the production techniques and period of manufacture.

The combination of its gentle blush-pink colour, graphic floral centre and sculptural Art Deco silhouette makes this an especially charming example of Boch Frères production. Despite its period character, the design feels surprisingly contemporary and would sit beautifully not only in an Art Deco setting but also in a modern or eclectic interior, where its unusual colour and strong form can become an elegant focal point.
