Pair of polychromed and gilded wooden musician angels.

Identification: pair of mural sculptures representing musician angels, one playing a transverse flute and the other a small lute/mandolin.

Probable origin: Italy, possibly the South Tyrol region / Val Gardena.
Era: mid-20th century, roughly 1950–1970.
Style: Baroque revival.

Pair of musician angels carved in wood, polychromed and partially gilded. The figures are depicted in motion, with crossed legs and wings open, holding respectively a transverse flute and a string instrument resembling a lute or mandolin. The wings and draperies have a gilded finish, contrasting with the light carving and black hair. Equipped on the back with metallic elements for wall mounting.

Dimensions of each figure: 33 × 16 × 9 cm.

Condition: Good overall, compatible with the age and decorative nature of the pieces.
