Splendid set of antique towels in pure linen, dating from the first half of the 20th century and originating from a traditional Italian-era household linen collection. The pieces embody the excellence of textile craftsmanship and domestic artisanal work of yesteryear.

Each piece is adorned with beautiful handcrafted geometric and floral decorative bands. Stand out cross-stitch motifs with delicate color combinations (shades of pink, forest green, blue and orange) and refined yarn-drawn inserts.

The true prized element is the very long, hand-tied fringe (macramé work). The warp threads have been masterfully woven to create a dense geometric net ending with soft tassels.
