Sansui - AU-D707G EXTRA Solid state integrated amplifier

The Sansui AU-D707G EXTRA immediately draws the eye with its large central volume knob, dark front panel and wonderfully serious 1980s control layout. Its honest signs of use give it the feeling of an amplifier that has spent years beside records and speakers, and that classic Sansui presence makes it naturally appealing at auction.

[Appearance]

This is a vintage Sansui integrated amplifier with an imposing black front panel, large volume control and beautifully arranged selector switches.

There are scratches, scuffs, light marks and some age-related wear on the cabinet and front edges. The top panel also shows visible surface wear. These traces are consistent with a well-used vintage audio component and, rather pleasantly, give the amplifier an honest sense of age without taking away from its powerful classic appearance.

The lettering and control markings remain generally clear, and the large knobs and switches retain the purposeful, substantial feel that makes Sansui equipment of this period so enjoyable to handle.

[Functionality]

I set “INPUT” to “AUX” and “OUTPUT” to “A” to check the audio output. The balance and other knobs also function properly.
The various indicator lights are illuminated.

The REC function has not been verified.
