The white logo in the box shows the inscription “Built By SF Delf” (built by SF Delf). This is the personal label or signature of the model maker who assembled, finished, or mounted this particular model vehicle from Touchwood Models on the presentation pedestal.

This Lloyd, at Pentecost 1954 in the French Monthéry, set no fewer than 14 international class records – including 112.12 km/h over 72 hours! Even the famous 24-hour race “Bol d’Or” had to start several hours later in 1954 due to the record run. At the wheel were then the Lloyd dealer and designer Karl-Hans Schäufele, his sales manager Hubertus Ricker, and the racer Adolf Brudes. The name, by the way, was borrowed from Bremen’s best-known landmark, the Roland on the Bremen Market Square.
