Important Art Deco vase “Dans la Forêt” (In the Forest), designed by Josef Inwald for the Barolac line, Czechoslovakia.

Made in thick pressed glass, with a satin and transparent finish and a spectacular raised naturalistic decoration depicting a forest: the trunks run vertically along the body of the vase up to the tree canopies, finely formed at the top.

The model dates from the second half of the 1930s and is one of the most recognizable subjects of Barolac production. The design is dated around 1934–1939
