Desk clock - - .925 silver - 1850-1900

Silver case with a removable pocket watch. The exterior features richly chased silver plating with floral decorations. The interior is finished with green velvet and provides space for the watch, which is visible behind a circular opening when the case is closed. The watch has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands and a seconds hand. The front of the cased cover bears British silver hallmarks including the lion passant (sterling silver, 925), an anchor (Birmingham Assay Office) and the maker's mark.
The pocket watch is in good running order. The interior bears the inscription "Argentan", Swiss, 273536. Ø watch 65 mm. Dimension with crown 92 mm.
