Large earthenware wedding jug (Hochzeitskrug) from Germany, 1836. 
These jugs were given as a tradition to the bridal couple. 
Normally these special jugs are half the size of this one! 
This is therefore an exceptionally large & special jug. 
The jug weighs about 8.2 kilograms. 

The inscription on the jug reads as follows:

Jacob Friedrich Bapperger,
Anna Catharina Dürringin
Hauingen 1836.

Jacob Friedrich Bapperger, born in 1812, died in 1896.
Anna Catharina Doeringin, born in 1810, died in 1859.
Note: on the jug Doeringin is written differently,
exact name not found on the jug.
Could be a mistake by the potter..

It has about 3000 inhabitants.

Condition is good, some signs of age.

Grote aardewerken Huwelijkskruik (Hochzeitskrug) uit Duitsland, 1836.  
Deze kruiken werden als traditie aan het bruidspaar geschonken.
Normaliter zijn deze speciale kruiken de helft kleiner dan deze!
Dit is derhalve een exceptioneel grote & bijzondere kruik.
De kruik weegt ca. 8,2 kilo.
