Italian art deco burl walnut chest of drawers, 1940s
The spectacular pattern of the walnut veneer used to sheathe every surface of this chest of drawers is breathtaking and showcases the exceptional skill of early twentieth century handcrafted wood makers in Italy. The unique character of this piece is accentuated by the curved corners and front with square top shape and the art deco shape of the supporting plinth base beneath.
There are four spacious drawers with patterned plastic and brass handles. Some small chips at the plastic parts could be found on the handles. (Seen on photos)
There is only one original key for the first drawer.
The last handle on the right is with a small different small brass sphere, hardly noticeable ( seen on photos)
In great original condition, despite of some scratches (seen on photos), consistent with age and use.
It has been refreshed only with wax with its natural splendid patina after years.
Presented of some minimal moth holes on the left base.
