Ferrania Galileo Analogue camera

The camera in the photo is a Ferrania Galileo, an Italian 35 mm film compact produced in the 1950s. Built with a sturdy metal body and imitation leather covering, it represents one of the examples of postwar Italian photographic production. It is equipped with an Officine Galileo Aplon lens mounted on a Terog shutter, a combination that offered solid performance for amateur photography of the era. All controls are manual: shutter speeds, aperture and focus are set directly by the user, allowing full control of exposure. Its compact size and solid construction made it ideal as a travel camera. In the photo there is also the original leather case stamped Ferrania Galileo, an accessory that increases the lot's collectible appeal. Today these cameras are sought after mainly by vintage photography enthusiasts and collectors of Italian equipment.
