An 19th‑century embroidered heraldic crest from the Zeeland coat of arms, depicting a half lion above blue waves with the motto Luctor et Emergo, framed behind glass in a mahogany veneered frame (outside 43.7 × 36.7 × 1.5 cm; visible inside 30.3 × 23.2 cm; weight 1588 g) and in good condition with minor aging.

A finely embroidered 19th century heraldic crest depicting a half lion above blue waves above Latin inscription Luctor et Emergo (I Struggle and Emerge/overcome), framed behind glass in a mahogany veneered wooden frame with outside dimensions 43,7 x 36,7 x 1,5cm. Visible size inside the frame 30,3 x 23,2 cm.
The heraldic crest is the coat of arms of the province of Zeeland, the saying the provincial motto as well as a personal maxim for some individuals.
Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs to the embroidery, the frame with a few old repairs to the veneer.
This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
