Historic Make Note
I would like to tell you about the "genesis" of the series of model cars produced by Tron in the early 1980s with this "Hobos" label - a very limited-edition series made of white metal (only 300 units), sold both as kits and as a batch of 50 fully assembled models. The name I chose was a bit of a personal whim - I had fallen in love with the books of Kerouac, London, Steinbeck and other "on the road" "wild" writers of the fifties and sixties and the poetry of Ginsberg; I was fascinated by the lives led by "hobos" in the United State - that absolute freedom to roam the country by hopping freight trains, traveling from north to south and east to west. That is why I chose that name, even though few people (if any?) understood the real reason behind it.
