A beautiful Art Deco liqueur set (carafe with six accompanying glasses and a tray), designed by the famous glass factory Karl Palda from Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic).
Designer/Manufacturer:
Karl Palda (Haida / Nový Bor).
Period:
Circa 1930 – 1935.
Style:
Pure Art Deco / Cubism, characterized by geometric shapes, sharp lines and abstract patterns.
Technique:
Hand-cut and etched crystal glass with geometric applications of black enamel.
Components:
The set consists of a diamond-shaped carafe with a striking, architectural stopper, six matching tasting glasses (shot glasses)
The shown black hyalite glass tray is officially not part of the factory set, but it is also a Karl Palda product from the same period and region. It has been added in the past and complements the whole perfectly.
