Large sculptural ceramic vase designed by Piet Knepper for Mobach Keramiek, Utrecht.

Hand-turned model with a wide cylindrical base, long slender neck and characteristic horizontal turnings. Executed in a particularly matte and strongly textured glaze in warm brown, ochre, and earth tones.

A characteristic example of Dutch studio pottery from the 1960s/1970s and the work of Piet Knepper for Mobach.

On the underside marked Mobach and bearing the monogram/signature of Piet Knepper.
